Here are some of the other animals my mommy owns!
Scruffy The Muscovy Duck
Scruffy is a pretty nice fellar. He is a muscovy duck. His kind live down in Florida. My mommy got scruffy from her aunts farm. She was 9 when she got him. He was a couple weeks old when she got him, and he was really small. His wings were the smallest little things ever, and they didnt even have any feathers on them yet. He was real nervous the first couple of days cuz he was away from his brothers and sisters. He wouldnt eat or drink. My mom started to get nervous. But after he setteled in and was more comfortable, he started eating and drinking. Now, 4 years later, he is a Huge duck weighing about 15 pounds. He is real friendly with my mom, but he doesnt like strangers. That is why he has to stay with my mommy for the rest of his life. Muscovys live about 15 years in captivity. That is pretty old. Thats older than I can live! :) Zebra Finches: Mr. and Mrs. Tweety
These are my mommy's zebra finches, Mr. and Mrs. Tweety! Personally, me being a gerbil, I do not like these guys. They make too much noise when I am trying to sleep. I think I need some ear plugs. My mom says she likes the songs they sing, but I dont. My mom actually started off with 2 zebra finches, then they had babies, 4 of them. My mom thought they were so cute when they were young, cuz they were all the same colors and they all of them (including the parents) would all line up in one huge line on their top purch and sleep. She thought it was really cute. After they started to grow up, the males would fight with each other. That is how most of them died. My mom thought it was really sad. Now she is left with 2, and she loves them a lot. She loves watching them sing their happy songs! :) |
